Sacha’s “Detox” Salad

Here is a yummy salad recipe to have for lunch or dinner. It tastes delicious, is easy to make, and like all salads can be modified as you like it. Please choose organic ingredients.

What you need:  

  • Leafy salad greens like arugula, baby kale, spinach

  • Red cabbage - finely shredded

  • Celery: finely chopped

  • Beetroot - peeled and grated (blanched first if you don't like it raw or too "earthy")

  • Apple - thinly sliced or grated (peeled if it's not organic)

  • Orange - peeled/chopped/sliced

  • Chia &/or Hemp &/or Sesame Seeds

  • Avocado

  • Fresh squeezed lime (or lemon) juice

  • Sea Salt

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil 

  • Olives & Sun-dried tomatoes (optional) - 

How to:

  • In your very favorite salad bowl, toss together the greens and the cabbage.

  • Then toss in the celery, beets, apple and orange.

  • Squeeze fresh lime (or lemon) juice over the salad.

  • Pour a generous glug of olive oil.
    Toss in the olives and sun dried tomatoes

  • Add the chia/hemp/sesame seeds.

  • Sprinkle a little pink Himalayan or sea salt.

  • Toss very well. Leave to sit for 10-15 minutes so the flavors meld.

  • Serve into individual bowls

  • Add some slices of avocado onto individual serving bowls (about 1/4 avocado per person).

  • Breathe, smile, have gratitude, enjoy.
